Zenyatta Alert: Good Workout on Sunday, One Week Before the Breeder’s Cup Classic
Any Zenyatta news is worth writing about.
So here is this:
Two-time champion Zenyatta, on target to defend her 19-0 record and Breeders’ Cup Classic title, enjoyed a quiet Sunday and just walked the shedrow, one day after completing her major preparations for the November 6 Classic on Saturday by working six furlongs in 1:11 4/5.
The mare was happy on Sunday and has responded well to her training.
Zenyatta will jog Monday over the Hollywood Park training track at her normal training time of 9 am.
She is scheduled to leave California for Kentucky on Tuesday aboard a chartered Tex Sutton flight along with several other Breeders’ Cup contenders.
The $26 million Breeders’ Cup World Championships will be held at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY on Friday, November 5 and Saturday, November 6.
I’ll report on everything happening this week.
Now THIS is great gaming news! What do I do now?
