Rachel Alexandra Versus Zenyatta? Not Going to Happen, at Least for Now (Darn it)

I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta (pictured above) will NOT be meeting this year in Saratoga, as so many racing fans (like me) had hoped.
Rachel will race at the Spa this year, but Zenyatta will not.
Zenyatta is staying in California; Rachel Alexandra in upstate New York.
Darn it.
Zenyatta, by the way, easily won in Hollywood a few days ago. What a horse.
Meanwhile, “Rachel feels very much at home among the great Saratoga fans,” said owner Jess Jackson. ”She’s been coming back into her stride and this will help her prepare for the rest of her campaign and the Breeder’s Cup later this year.”
The news that Rachel Alexandra would race at Saratoga was a bonus for the the NYRA.
“We’re delighted that Mr. Jackson had decided to race Rachel Alexandra in the Personal Ensign,” NYRA President and CEO Charles Hayward said. “Her historic victory in the Woodward last year was one of the highlights of the Saratoga meet, and we expect her appearance at the Spa this year to be just as compelling,” he said.
We long for the race where they will meet.
Now THIS is great gaming news! What do I do now?
