Countdown to the Breeder’s Cup: Horses are Santa Anita Bound
The trio of Twice Over, Midday and Father Time have finished their prep work for the Breeders’ Cup and are on their way to Santa Anita.
The Limekilns round gallop was thesite for their final exercise, just ahead of races on November 6 and Midday (Tom Queally) and Father Time were the first in action as they sauntered clear of their lead horse to finish ten lengths ahead with both on the bridle as they passed through alongside each other.
Owner Cecil said his horses were in good form “and are on course for the Cup. They all quickened up nicely and, I wouldn’t say they would win, but they have a good chance ofacquiting themselves well in their races.”
Twice Over is as short as 8-1 for the Breeders’ Cup Classic, while Midday is one of the leading chances for the Filly and Mare Turf. Father Time is being aimed at the Marathon, for which he is a 4-1 choice.
Lots more Breeder’s Cup news next week as we approach the starting gate.
